Our Batik Champions​​

The Green Batik Transformation Programme collaborates with Batik Champions to bring the programme to life. These champions work closely with us to implement various interventions in their workshops and participate in our capacity building programme, making them real examples of what sustainable batik production looks like in practice.​

By adopting more environmentally friendly processes, our Batik Champions demonstrate that the batik industry can honour its rich tradition while embracing sustainability. Their journey serves as a powerful inspiration for other artisans and workshop owners to follow in their footsteps.​

Currently, we are proudly collaborating with four Champions from Pekalongan in the first year of the Programme (2025), with more to join in the years to come!​
